I started watching this dumb shit.
It starts out being a turn-your-brain-off fantasy harem thing, yet somehow manages to always catch you off guard in a cunning, charming way. Then somehow in the second season onward, it adds intense drama and political intrigue, all while somehow not missing a beat at stuffing fan service in every available crevice.
I’m really enjoying it, yet I find myself resenting it - because for every two pieces of clever, satisfying writing, there’s one instance of super uninspired cliche fantasy tripe. And three servings of smut.
