we were all far away from home in a society that excludes us. I was responding to refpsi. he made this grand image of who we want to be with. I enjoyed the company of the chinese guy from LA more than a white guy from wisconsin. you can inject more variables into it you want to try and explain it, but you would just be speculating. so far I see no reason to believe that I would seek the company of some white guy over a non-white guy just because they are a white guy.
there were australians I also avoided. one of them was chinese-australian.

is it that much of a stretch to say that a major defining factor of these extremely small riots that happen after police officers are acquitted is "black".
do you think it's reasonable for whites or asians to go out and protest in these riots and expect any level of safety from other rioters.
and these are EXTREMELY small scale events; what happens if you introduce disaster, disease, famine, and political/economic breakdown?
