if town create a larger number of viable wagons, theres more room for scum to slip up trying to vote out town, and each individual vote is more meaningful if the vote doesnt seem destined to hit one person no matter what
best case scenario is when scum follow me on a vote on town that i never actually believed in and i switch votes and help make them look sus
or some shit
but again theres scenarios where it can be the opposite of helpful too so w/e
