the event was organized by people (including Trump) who fully understood the implications of what they could do if things turned violent, wanted things to turn violent, signal boosted violent rhetoric for weeks, lied about the election, and then lead an angry mob to the capitol building

bro you’re severely minimizing it, LA was completely trashed like openly looted, the entire fairfax district, the grove, all of Santa Monica, the 3rd st promenade, buildings were lit on fire and this is just what I saw in my first hand experience, I saw like 3 cop cars get lit on fire right in front of me. And this was across the nation for multiple weeks before finally relaxing when the protest turned into mainly white people just trying to be a part of something. The capitol “riots” was one day where a mob of essentially disorganized Qanon believers were lead to the Capitol building to dispute the election but barely damaged the building, threw some papers around, stole Nancy pelosis laptop and posed for media photos. Trump directed his followers to the Capitol and then didn’t go through with a coup or whatever. It was literally one day, LA had two days of just complete madness and looting and then sporadic looting anytime a BLM protest would pop up anywhere in the city
The most hilarious thing was when anyone who was white or Mexican started looting all the protesters would start screaming at them “you’re not even black you’re making us look bad” but if you’re black you would get a free pass to loot. Also on social media in LA when everyone was organizing the protests they legitimately said “do it in the nice areas keep it out of the hood so we can loot white peoples shit” really cool stuff

Centuries of systemic racism justifies higher violent crime rates, higher property crime rates, and lower income and police should treat people in those areas the same as they do in Wisconsin because they have a right to have higher crime rates
