Itâs easy to just say âitâs systemic racismâ and say âoh we white people gotta do betterâ but hey maybe there is a larger aspect of personal responsibility when it comes to these things because in my experience you can make all types of programs trying to reach out to at risk youth, provide additional opportunities, all types of shit but most people arenât going to give a fuck, wonât take advantage, and the ones who do are like the rare poster children and people find their story inspiring or whatever corny bullshit ppl think
I was in multiple youth programs, truancy court, a scared straight program, two times a week drug class, juvenile probation with my PO searching my room, some anti gang program in middle school, literally all types of shit I canât even remember all of it

you're probably right, i mean fault probably can't be traced to this singular source of systemic racism and there are plenty who perpetuate these issues like your friend. But it can certainly be a part of the problem
I know nothing of the ghetto so I do not speculate. All I know is the education system does not offer anything useful in the world in a heavily disadvantaged world. There's a reason first Gen graduates are rarer than otherwise. This is most likely exponentially magnified for those in the ghettos.

I could go on and on about my own personal experiences and how it relates to my view that âsystemic racismâ is not the reason for having large ghettos in almost every urban city in the United States but it will make little difference overall
