I'm a socialist who fundamentally believes in wealth redistribution from the wealthy to the poor. I believe that rich people should fund robust social services that the public are able to use. Ultimately the only way to make these services sustainable is to tax the rich.
But I also believe that the guy who cant speak English at the Chicken farm is a net positive economically in regards to the taxes he pays and doesn't use any of the robust social services the US provides, and even if he did he pays for it with the 12.5/hr he makes under the table at the chicken plant.
