The problem is getting MVP votes from all players in a night time window
This is similar to my old wild west setup where instead of having PRs that do stuff (protect player, check player, shoot player) u had PRs that gave others the power to do stuff (give a player a gun, give a player 1 night check ability)
Basically you want people to be rewarded for looking towny to others - both town and scum
At the time we had 2 issues:
- a lot of afkers who it was hard to sort through to find scum
- town play meta was often to act like a total asshole and be very scummy to "reaction test" people
I tried to address (1) by adding lots of guns and (2) by making it worthwhile to look like town
Adding guns makes it more chaotic, you just want regular old scum hunting
So basic set up, only vt and goon
Vt at night can pm a name to give vest
Goon at night send their kill
Another problem is it might backfire and make players more frustrated with each other because they feel they should get the "mvp" protection but didn't get it
The whole MVP thing is kind of a problem because it makes people assholish (me included) but we've kept it up because it is funny to joke about it
You can even make it less scum favored by not giving night chat, and each scum sends their own preferred kill to host. Most selected gets shot, if it is tie it gets rolled

It's an interesting idea but I still like the idea of just giving people powers via normal PRs
Example: Having 1 doctor in the game encourages good town play because that 1 doctor can protect the 1 towniest person n1
Having, instead of a cop, a role that gives people a dog that cop checks someone. Just have multiple roles where the person says "OK, who's playing towny and high-impact in this game?"
