How do you determine when you want to stop the chains and cast the spell? Just a button?

I think if you do 3x Red, 3x Red and you hit 3x blue and it's not in your spellbook you just cast fireball and then start with 3x Blue.

QUEUE: 3x RED <- 3x RED <- 3x BLUE ... CAST SPELL FIREBALL: QUEUE: 3x BLUE.

At each push onto the queue, you check if what's on the queue is in your spellbook, if it isn't you push N-1 off, casting that specific spell.

a "combo" chain would add like a crit multiplier or some shit, I have no idea.

+1 damage or wahtever items just make me want to vomit because that's just the easiest fucking shit to do in the world.

first dev steps should be the items ONLY modify the way tiles are dropped/selected. Your items will make a bigger impact on gameplay there than mindless "well my sword tiles do 1 more damage".

yeah I totally understand how you feel here.
I tried to make it slightly more interesting than that in the sense that the items are like "your combos are bigger" instead of just +1 damage but it doesn't make much of a difference when theres barely that plays off the combos.

Lots of room to experiment and iterate on mechanics here.

For example: I have a system in the game where Horizontal and Vertical matches do different effects. This is only used in one encounter, but it can be more interesting if used more?

Dude he spent like half an hour yesterday talking about how "Jones Wouldn't like this."

It was so gay i had to tap out after my first win

{COLOR} TILES APPEAR 10% more; {COLOR} TILE is always dropped after {COLOR}; {COLOR} removed; every N'th tile is {COLOR}.

How is it gay? I'm just very self conscious about my work.

For someone who's always so preoccupied with people being subservient you sure are one of the most major offenders

I'm not subservient I just take criticism a lot more seriously than compliments.
I'm still glad you enjoyed the game (even if you were biased) and will take your feedback that you provided yesterday seriously too.

So when are you adding gods and shrines?

Stick all the changes to the dungeon bejeweling on another branch. I think that's the most interesting idea but I have no idea if it will actually work.

the interesting opposition is MATCHES ARE BAD on the dungeon board and MATCHES ARE GOOD on the battle board.

This may not gain traction but you could try removing the puzzle element altogether and just make it an atmospheric game about soul-searching through a cave.

@Vanilla_Town I would like the effects to increase based on length.
3x = 3
4x = 6
5x = 8
or something like that.

cool game!
