Yeah of course it doesn't have to be early access per se. I just think if you want to make a game people love getting more than a handful of people's feedback on it (ones who may have unshared views) is significant. Maybe the normies have a good idea to submit!
Not to sound arrogant but I can come up with every single "unshared view" myself.
I feel like it' might be too early in this pursuit to be a perfectionist
yeah I'm sure Jacque Louis Daveed solicited the views of the riff-raff before he painted Oath to Horatii
I meant unshared as in Jones is gifted but his opinions' may not reflect your actual fanbase
I can't respond to this post without being insulting to both you and jones.
Plus if you get this game out there and polished that game dev job might be a lot more within reach and you can work on something even more 'impactful'.
i literally turned down a "game dev job" offer a couple months ago what are you talking about
you are incapable of understanding the sigma male mindset
shrigma male represent
fanbase? dev job? who do you think you're fucking talking to lmfao
I tried it again last night seemed fine for what it is. I'm not big into the systems so I can't see myself replaying much but it works
The replay value I think I have in mind is something akin to a morgue file in nethack/crawl, the "daily run" seed within slay the spire, collectibles, multiple "branches".
That's understandable though the currently uploaded version is quite trash.
You said that was a lie
is there enough variance in runs to make them unique?
You never know :)
Agreed, it was what I originally had implemented in the crawling build too. Toprak and Jcrispy whined about branches but I still don't want to make it linear.
in it's current form, no: I think some competitive scoring/leaderboard hopefully makes it somewhat interesting.
Where did I say that? I don't remember, but it wasn't a lie
