Yea that's an understandable sentiment but how does this work then? 2 players have to agree to shoot and the survivors agree to lynch someone? I just don't see that happening to be honest and frankly I think it isn't the same as agreeing to night actions because everyone kind of has to sync up in the day time which is a lot more complicated than submitting night activities and host starting once everyone is done.
And the day shot mechanic effectively removes the scum hunting part of the game out for a good portion of the player group.
So basically if we miss all of our shots and mafia survive and we lynch a town, then mafia wins right?

With 10 players and 2 mafia, picking 5 random players to die has a higher chance to hit town than mafia. It's a 50/50 you get at least 1 mafia? Maybe better than 50%. I'm gonna plug this into gemini BRB.

I'm not sure what AI is going to help you understand here considering nma already posted the inputs and outputs from a probability calculator for the problem following a hypergeometric distribution. You could argue they used the wrong parameters if you want but you'd be wrong

The random shooting mechanic, on average, seems to favor the Mafia. The high probability of at least one goon surviving the initial cut combined with the night kill advantage gives them a statistical edge
I gave you the option to break the math by choosing your own partner for killing yourself, however
Tell the AI it's wrong and it will immediately say "Oh Sorry! You're right, I was wrong!"
