well that was when I was in school, now its overcrowded as hell
I don't remember what my classes sizes were like in elementary school. I think at least 30+. And well into the 40s by high school.
The special needs students when I was in American school were always in one big class that was seaparated far from the rest of the school classrooms. Like usually in a shed/trailer looking class way far away from the building. Here in Japan the special needs students have their own classrooms of like 5 students each and they get so much attention and direct instruction. Every time I visit their classes I can't help but feel this is what all school classrooms should be like.
