I have to say I've been following the latest drama around the new game and in typical contrarian fashion I really dont care at all
Drama summary: They announced there won't be a full pokedex of all pokemon from other generations, only the ones they select to be in. Meaning you can't transfer your old guys over unless they're among the hundreds from earlier generations that are agreed to be included in advance
People are very upset that their 1 obscure pokemon from gen 3 or something can't be transferred but honestly I dont give a fuck, it's probably better for the game anyway and I dont want to play against your fucking 10 yr old maxed ev meme cheese strat pokemon if i ever play online battles
I just play the game as it's presented to me and in conclusion pokemon internet posting fanbase are whiny children
Didn't explain it well so here:
There will be a set of pokemon in the game which includes new ones for this generation and some from the old generations (probably all the popular ones)
If there's a pokemon from an older generation that isn't included in this set, you won't be allowed to transfer it into the game. In previous games you were allowed to do this
