Bravo, bravo Prince Charles John, what a brilliant comment. My God, you hit the nail on the head. I want to start a MeetUp and come up with “An appreciation of Bobby Fischer and Fischer/Random” or something like this. I teach Chess at an Elementary School here in Fresno, CA and I want to teach ONLY Fischer/Random although they have already been brainwashed by the “Chess Pundits” who’ve told them, "Traditional, regular, standard Chess is the only way to go”???. BS BS and BS…I refuse to go to our local Chess club which give me dirty looks when I encourage FR chess, so I’ve stopped going and take my chess set and board to libraries, parks, restaurants etc and invite people “Wanna be another Bobby Fischer, then use your mind and critical thinking skills”!!! I’ve listened to all Bobby’s interviews on Bombo Radio from the Philippines and his great buddy Eugene Torre himself a Chess Grandmaster. Folks listen to this great man Bobby, he was NOT crazy, he was not a Jew, and he was NOT circumcised…www.RobertJamesFischer.blogspot.com. He summed it up in a very short video on YouTube, “No uhh…I don’t believe in Psychology, I believe in good moves” I love you Bobby, Rest In Peace, you are/were one of the greatest men that I have ever studied not only for your excellent Chess but excellent insight in what was going on politically in the world and in the Middle East. You see folks, when you play Chess you read between the lines, you think critically and really really use one’s brain rather than BS memorization’s, arrangements, openings etc.

Look, i get it. Your play testers and game designers, well, they are certain types of people. The game IS well designed. Its pretty. Lovely even. But there is something that hasnt been designed into your game.

Joe Bloggs. Mr everyone. The middle aged, old time gamer with a real world job, not enough time, no twitch reflexes, no youtube channel subscriptions and plays the game he has, not what its meant to be.
It just aint fun dudes. 20 off the tower? Card lock? My high powered sven taken off the board with a condemned card thats nowhere near worth what a modified hero is? Sure they are counters and they work. But they work TOO well. There is no come back. No fighting out of a corner. No glory. No feeling of david and goliath. Its game over, just as it was getting going.
