Put some aluminum foil shiny side up rip it up into bits the size of the coin.
Sprinkle salt all over
Put coin in
Sprinkle more salt on top
Pour hot water from kettle on. Steaming is enough.
Leave for 5 min, flip. (You will see it turn shiny right as you pour the hot water on)
These are for magic tricks. I don't care about the value of silver. Little kids are handling them all the time.
they get cleaned it will be shiny and make the tricks more entertaining
I might do something if they get particularly grimey but I aint gunna go through a bunch of effort to just dirty them up immediately anyway.

so now , in 20 years, you have pretty close to what you started with, but the money is worth 1/2 to 1/3 what it was in 2025 due to inflation.
you need enough gold/silver for your 1% gains to outpace the inflation. and for that you need a lot of gold.
hoarding precious metals like that is a solid strategy if you are a country (gold reserve) or a saudi prince
