I just remembered Ian also used admin abilities to teleport himself to me and kill me when I made fun of his girlfriend in minecraft - resulting in the death of his own minecraft server (people stopped playing as it became toxic). This was like 2 months ago. Long demonstrated history (extending til today) of poor decision making/social skills, often involving misuse of privileged information or power, with demonstrable negative consequences for the community

Same with a lot of the mods I have made fun of here. I like Osiris a lot as a person. It's only as a mod that he gets this weirdly derisive attitude and tries to insert himself into random conversations. Call it the hubert doobert disease

If you truly want to make the site "for the people, by the people" or whatever ■■■ said there should be mod elections where the current mods can be removed (if being moderator made their personalities worse - very important as this happens to roughly 50% of the people appointed mod) and new mod can be appointed with the community's majority vote
rather than by ■■■ going to the Chicago Zoo and having a monkey select based on ppl's profile pictures (assuming this is the current process- pictured below)
It would also be a great event which could drive more traffic for the site.

ban modded me spontaneously without me asking probably to make it easier to run mafia games. i didn't think it affected me at the time as i didn't do any 'moderating' besides talking to the other mods at the time but it probably did. there wasn't anything i'd remotely want to moderate until slowdive, nyte, and theodore left leaving just me and ban to edit the troglodytes trying to dodge racial slur censoring
