I dont understand what "visiting a player" means. Is it like lying next to them and watching them sleep? Do they know you slept next to them? Does it reveal their role?

Think of it like a night action that doesn't actually do anything to the player you targeted. Instead it gives them an opportunity to do something to you

It helps if you played town of salem. You can visualize everyone going back to their individual houses at night to sleep. When you do a night action, you go to that person's house at night. Then there's a role called the "veteran" that if you visit his house, he shoots you.

In this game all of town has night actions and the mafia have a role that can shoot you if you visit them.

So we find out the mafia by announcing who you'll target at night and then if you die (because they shot you when you visited their house) we lynch that person.

If you think someone's scum you actually don't visit them in this game (because they can shoot you for it)

No town is going to see ironstove claim paranoid gun owner (scum role) and say - you know what, we should no lynch and I'd like to visit that guy tonight
