i totally agree with this but i see friend the same way. he got more conciliatory later on in his discussion with me but i didn't read it as super sincere, more like he was trying to make himself look town and trying to distract me and get me bogged down in misc bullshit with that approach rather than the previous approach of emotional pressure and disingenuous framing
