I don’t think killing yourself as a result of rape is common let alone extremely common because of the sheer number of sexual assault and rapes that happen; it seems almost impossible.
I’d argue most of the rapes that end in murder were not simply “rapes” either. And in those cases of women surviving I think they’re absolutely survivors but the distinction between rape and a person who has an extreme social/mental deficiency that commits rape needs to be made, because it’s a big one.

Depends. You have to imagine the power dynamic the perpetrator is trying to act out in their mind. Things can and will go differently if they lose control of the situation or things don’t go as planned, one possibility being escalation to murder.

Most rapes happen on account of shitty cultural awareness and lack of respect for women(because of CONSTANT sexual objectification) That doesn’t make all the fucking meatheads who perpetuate the cycle likely to commit murder.
