Pre covid I had a year booked off of work to travel through the Mediterranean, eastern Europe and around the black Sea. I would like to go to Iran and I would like to hike the Jordan trail

When I was in Japan I basically just stuck to the bullet train and stayed exclusively in urban areas. Went to Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, Nagoya and Fukuoka. The trip was fun but I wish I woulda gotten into the country more.
