I agree with this.
I don't think it's possible to convey the meaning and all the intricate rules of the mythology in a TV show. Lost was always best as a character-driven story. Perhaps the mythology would have worked best in a 20-part novel series.
However, I think it is interesting to see the story that the writers most likely wanted to tell in the past few seasons.
