In the case of Israel, that is why I mentioned we have the gulf. In the far east, yeah true we probably cant make a guarantee without at least some significant presence in a nearby country.
None of this, however, rationalizes getting cucked by one of those nations into a pre-emptive strike and war when the options to keep that security guarantee is on the table as long as we lift sanctions and let them have NPT OK uranium.
