This is a really simple conversation and your failure to engage in the most basic of arguments really shows your stunted mental growth. I’m sure there are plenty of “unknown details” like what shoes he was wearing and what room he was in but it is well publicized that in the last few months since his breakup he was engaging in suicidal behaviour such as crashing his car at high speeds and drinking recklessly.
