When you veto that’s the one town player that is removed from the random chosen pool… So they are a free guaranteed NK
it’s a side effect of the 0% chance of chosen. the PRIORITY is who do you NOT want to have to face as chosen i swear to GOD there is no way you are this dense about it.

My thought process is that you want to veto someone who will stay alive. The problem scum faces in this setup is that if both chosen are still alive and it’s parity at 2-2, town wins.

i’m just going to scumread matty forever with this approach to the roles. you don’t choose scum based on who you want to freely kill because of their meta d1 deaths. you want to choose who you dont’ want to be solving the game with extra powers, or who you want to easily eliminate. this means you choose GOOD players. but if i’m scum and i need to think about how to best use this mechanic, maybe i think about who i can more safely eliminate d1 that blends in. that seems SO scum oriented, it’s unintuitive, to me.

I can't decide whether you are thinking hard and scum hunting, or thinking because you are scum.
Scum tend to think about the rules a lot more.

its ok, probably sound to think i sound scummy having hard thoughts about mechanics. but i needed to walk myself through why exactly i felt what matty was doing was just outrageously scummy. partially because i scum read him d1 everyday. so i wanted to understand why this particular way of thinking was jarring.
i think we just DO NOT share much mind meld shit, in general, even if we can come to better agreements, over time. but i’m also not letting go, yet, that this was a scum sided polling-take (it looks staged)

Look I’ll be honest I think we’re all rusty because I just don’t feel like we’re performing at a level where I’d fear anybody here specifically as scum. The performance of last game was dreadful from town but I’m happy to see people ramp up in this one. If I was scum I’d just veto someone who was going to stay alive, and I honestly think ian has been performing above the curve.
