What he should actually be trying to get to is how genuine you/yns/etc.. are regarding actually starting families - how far you're willing to actually go in your beliefs and whether or not they're performative.
For example, would you go to church every Sunday? Is it even possible for you to start a family that doesn't end up a disaster?
