No jewish people in my family, no. I have a couple Italian great uncles. Other than that, my mother's side stayed strictly Scotch-Irish, and my father's side strictly German.

Those were soldiers recruited from the German state of Hesse or whatever to fight in the war. My family had already been in North America for a generation or two. And my ancestors came from a territory farther west.
