- people who say the asteroid passing the Earth shows clear signs of being an asteroid

Not to mention people who say that the guy turning an asteroid passing earth into a religious/apocalyptic event is dangerous/irresponsible
And matches typical patterns seen in apocalypse cults. Such as: Wait, I was wrong about the date, it's actually next year that this will all come to light.
To be fair, NDT is very contemptible. He's a raging asshole and somehow convinced himself he can fill some amount of Carl Sagan's shoes as a science communicator. I only embody one of these traits so I'm chill.
