I actually think it would be really funny if he ran another jester game
I really don't care what the setup is at this point.
I enjoyed the last two games even though I died before day two.
Instead of the unhelpful complaining linking setups you want to play will be ideal
Simple and familiar roles with well crafted theming. No day actions.
a game with enough roles that would warrant scum roleblocker would be fun
semi-closed would be kinda cool too
claims would be interesting and its more difficult to break
i remember the clock one was like that
I'll be honest I actually hate the clock and matrix style games
I think it goes against the idea of actually creating a fun setup
When you create a setup you're usually starting from: Wouldn't this be a fun mechanic or dynamic for players to explore
Good setups are built around some central concept like this.
Example:
Central concept: What if instead of PRs we had PRs that give other people powers (gunsmith)
Central concept: What if any two players could agree to shoot another player during the day
The matrix/roll a die/pick a number from a clock ones are just a hodgepodge of mechanics and don't have a clearly defined identity
It's like: Uhhh... well we have some power roles and you might have a few of them
Not fun or interesting
i dont think its automatically bad but i also think all ur guys math solvy setups are automatically bad so to each their own

BTW my DEI mafia was still up I could have hosted but it seems people here are not into it.
Everything can be solved, even a game like Tango that we just played has a very straightforward strategy (that nobody mentioned for some reason).
The two best town game solvers (me and dan) were not town and nobody wants to play a solved game anyway.
If you know a game is solved, keep it to yourself. It's not polite to ruin other players' experience just because you want to show off how smart you are.
I felt that way when KrazyKat said 1 cop and 1 doc is solved. We get it, you're smart - just let us play mafia.
I have kept it to myself, but the best play as Scum is to also follow the optimal town strategy to not get scumread and humiliated like you did.
What do you mean "if you know a game is solved"? I just said that everything is solved because everything can be boiled down to lynch odds.
