its fucked up but the time when ICE came here and the only homeless around were native, things were actually a little nicer around here. There's an immigration office by me that was turned into a loud-music-loiter zone and was quickly becoming the most dangerous part in my neighborhood. Not that I ever felt threatened, I ate literal trunk empanadas from them and they were nice enough to give me some for free. I just don't like being asked to buy candy or other actual crap goods all the time.

im a simple man but i think the job heirarchy is a pyramid where the base is usually what society needs the most, just quantitatively. You can argue about how available the ladder should be but us middle classers should feel like we have much bigger concerns like how our jobs are being exported etc
