I've read a few A16z blogs in my day and generally considered him a slightly worse Thiel
like vaguely steal Thiel's concepts/slightly late to every Thiel position but still good enough to make billions picking winners in SV
he used to complain about "the gubment is going to kill everyone" "we need to end wokeness" "we all know the government is illegitimate" publicly and he's got multiple billions
thiel has class but andreseen will openly promote curtis yarvin tier stuff

he's the libtard software technologist who's adopted some of the neologisms and beliefs of online racists for street cred. its an awful pocket of soy + software technologist + BAP + bari weiss.

andreeseen is way more tolerable than some of the other "west coast vc" podcast hosts who i think should have their asset nationalized and their children murdered.

The "Every company is a software company" blog. Essentially anybody at your company who says we shouldn't do XYZ because "we're not a tech company" is an idiot - every company is building its own software these days and its proficiency in doing so has direct impact on its ability to do its business at all.
Anyway if you followed advice of this blog at the time (buy big tech) you would have made a lot of money. But it's not exactly cutting-edge thought.
Unfortunately these same guys went off the deep end with blockchain (fake useless technology) - didn't read this blog fully but I am guessing it's the foundation of their pitch, which based on this blog and his comments in the interview may have originated from just hating banks.
Anyway highly recommend someone else reads these and lets me know what they say
you cant really trust anything these people say to some degree because they won't fund death squads.
Love it when you find these people that just want to feel safe and intelligent by listening to other people for whom they have a predisposition to.
So many podcasts are just people jacking themselves off and feeling civilized for having views

Most of these guys did 1 good thing (maybe 0) and just leveraged the cash from that to be permanent SV royalty
That said I think a lot of them have one good idea and then spend the rest of their lives being "directionally correct" (as Thiel would say) and therefore continuing to make a lot of money
