Sometimes the tick burrows in too deeply to the culture in that the only way to remove it is to employ schizophrenic lines of assault, i.e, tearing away your own flesh with a butcher knife and trying to cauterize the wound with whatever fading Christian torch bears any relevancy to the culture.
