So your plan is to make housing more expensive in canada?
No actually I think you are on to something. How long does it take to get a steel mill up and running? Like 2 or 3 weeks?
Government has made it more expensive. 25% of costs are fucking government taxes
Couple hours
But you just said it yourself that chinese steel is cheap. That means canada steel is more expensive. That means housing costs go up.
Yes because the ccp subsidizes it. People need to move away from Chinese shit and start producing it themselves
People need to move away from chinese goods so they can buy more expensive goods?
So they can produce goods at home that helps the economy internally. More jobs more money people get paid more. Fuck china fuck ccp
It is true we took our middle class, cannibalized it and gave it to China
weird i don't recall a mass exodus of us citizens to china
they're your baristas now. If they had real jobs they might no be such angry commies
So in your opinion there should be more canadians working for shit wages for 70 hours per week?
why always so negative
Feelings> facts
apparently minimum wage slaving away making coffee is better then being able to afford a family working in steel mill
If my options were steel mill or coffee, id pick coffee every time easy. They probably would both pay whatever state minimum is at baseline but one of them smells significantly better.
no way dude. Thats not how it works.
If more open trade meant lower labor costs+shipping+building new facilities was cheaper than producing in existing plants and paying american wages. Thus moving those jobs out of the states... why are they all of a sudden going to pay more than they have to for labor when trying to exist within the capitalist system? Whats their motivation? it has to remain cheaper than paying import taxes in order to be worth considering no? Plus the espresso machine is less likely to cause me bodily harm than molten metal.
