I think I agree with what you are saying in a lot of cases. So often people use being a prick ironically as a social crutch and might not recognize that they are tearing down the other person low key.
But I think the hole line would make it difficult to take seriously and be hurt by. I could be wrong.

The logic being you have turned the water off but are still standing in the shower, so you dont drip everywhere, might be less relevant with less hair. I was never told to do so in my life, but couldnt argue against the logic, at the same time i dont mind just washing the little rug outside the shower anyway.
