Voter thread 2024

AI - An Immigrant.

I however believe that Medicare fraud should be a homegrown American business and that our forefathers worked hard to let us defraud Medicare later on

I'm honestly afraid to go to the farmer's market tomorrow. I think one of the crazed leftists in this thread might commit a mass shooting. This thread is creating stochastic terrorism.

Would you vote for Zohan Mamdani or Lori Lightfoot if you had to pick one of the two

We should make them pay the STEM immigrant workers more then. Simple.

But when you hate brown people, your conclusion is kicking them out and you work backwards from there.

Dude the obesity rate in japan is 4.5% wtf

Yeah it is insane how healthy people are here. After working in schools here it is easy to understand why. Every school day they eat a balanced meal and get taught the health benefits and purpose of eating it over the intercom while they eat. And they receive a real nutrition education in their home ec. classes.

Put everyone through that for 12 years and you will have good eating habits.

Yeah that would totally work in the USA

No it wouldnt. Our president is a fat

what are the stats on white people living in japan obesity rates

controlled for income age and educational achievement

There is no specific public dataset that directly reports obesity rates for white people living in Japan, especially when controlled for income, age, and educational achievement. However, here are some relevant pieces of info:

  1. Japan’s Overall Obesity Rate

Japan has one of the lowest adult obesity rates in the developed world—around 4.5% according to OECD data.

Their definition of obesity (BMI ≥ 25) differs slightly from the U.S. (BMI ≥ 30).

  1. Foreigners in Japan

Foreigners (including white Westerners) make up about 2% of Japan’s population.

Health stats on foreigners are scarce, and when collected, are usually not disaggregated by race or country of origin.

Studies on expatriates in Japan do exist but focus more on mental health or adaptation stress than physical health like obesity.

  1. What Could Be Inferred?

White expatriates in Japan (e.g., Americans, Australians, Europeans) are likely to have lower obesity rates than their peers back home, due to lifestyle and diet changes in Japan (more walking, smaller portions, fewer processed foods).

Controlling for age, income, and education: These groups tend to be relatively educated, employed, and younger—which correlates with lower obesity rates in general.

Bottom Line:

While no precise numbers exist for white residents in Japan, it's reasonable to assume:

Their obesity rate is lower than in their country of origin (e.g., U.S. white adult obesity ≈ 42%).

Their obesity rate may still be higher than native Japanese, but closer than expected, especially when adjusted for socioeconomic factors.

If you're doing research or writing, academic sources like JSTOR or PubMed might offer niche expat health studies. Want help digging one up?
