You don't need 8-16 months to learn to write code. You don't need 4-7+ months to become a developer. You can start right now - you can learn those things yourself and you can just start writing code with no class/experience
Also Software Engineer is not a real thing, it's like saying you are a Latte Artist or whatever they call themselves
Why stop there? A 6 week bootcamp is actually all you need to get a job in the field.
