The speech did not instill in me confidence that Putin was going to handle this situation gracefully and end it soon. If anything it seemed like he was setting the stage for an us vs them type thing where you’re either with Putin or with Prigohzin. The problem I think is that the Russian media and even English speaking alternative media has been hyping Prigohzin up as some war hero type guy who relates to the common man and average grunt. Like they highlighted how he was in bakhmut fighting with his men and made it seem like he was willing to do whatever it takes to win this war. Because of that I don’t know how much of the Russian army is going to be willing to go and kill Wagner fighters for that reason and also the fact that going against 25k Wagner fighters is almost certain death
