You can't just generalize hundreds of thousands/millions of people like that, I'm sure there are people like what you're describing but you physically have no way of knowing what each person is like, that's insane.
And that's certainly not typical, not having bi-polar or borderline. Them having depression and anxiety is certainly typical, but that's all high school kids these days isn't it?
You can call it what you want I just think you should accept that this is what works for them, and try to search within yourself for some empathy that whatever it is they're going through it's probably not easy and if this is what they want then who really cares
I can because a tranny suffering only from transgenderism is the exception not the rule. I donât know why you think people who are willing to mutilate their sex organs are completely normal and balanced people mentally
Now if you want to talk about them self destructing and destroying their lives, denying them their identity/treatment is the best way to do that. That's what tends to make them lose it, that and the accosicated stigma/jumping through hoops/weird questions/long wait times associated with trans medical care
Keep it above 18 and what can I do besides say theyâre an abomination and itâs not going to fix anything. Providing hormones to children to chemically castrate them is just fucked up man
I just think your claim that "most" of them have bi-polar and bpd is false. Depression and anxiety, yes, but I would say that's true of all kids and young people these days and not exclusive to trans people, and not indicative of any type of underlying proclivity to other mental illness.
I donât actually know maybe itâs not bipolar or bpd all I know is these people are mentally fucked beyond just normal âanxiety and depressionâ that normal losers complain about
your worst case scenario is not in fact an 8 year old having their penis chopped off or given drugs so they are castrated, it's them hitting puberty a few years later. it's not nearly as dramatic.
I honestly don't know where I fall on this, it's too early and there's not enough data. It's really too soon to say what the benefits and drawbacks are of waiting till kids are 18 or letting them choose earlier. Probably need a few decades.
The girls who came to us had many comorbidities: depression, anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders, obesity. Many were diagnosed with autism, or had autism-like symptoms. A report last year on a British pediatric transgender center found that about one-third of the patients referred there were on the autism spectrum.
When a female takes testosterone, the profound and permanent effects of the hormone can be seen in a matter of months. Voices drop, beards sprout, body fat is redistributed. Sexual interest explodes, aggression increases, and mood can be unpredictable. Our patients were told about some side effects, including sterility. But after working at the center, I came to believe that teenagers are simply not capable of fully grasping what it means to make the decision to become infertile while still a minor.
i'm less knowledgeable about FtM stuff but I do know there are like 10x as many barriers for this transition and the testosterone is a lot harder for them to get. so that sounds like it's about what it should be if it's as dangerous and permanent as you say.
