At the risk of being shunned I'll just say that I tried the new version of Claude and it's actually pretty impressive. It makes a considerable number of mistakes, but it's extremely useful for more mundane things like refactoring or adapting existing code. Frankly that kind of work is so tedious that I don't know why we shouldn't embrace AI for some evergrowing number of mundane tasks, if it even stops there.

None of that stuff means anything in the context of the data analysis projects he's working with. I'm not being reductive the programming in this context is incredibly simple, a small part of total time investment completing a project, and a necessary process to consciously perform for understanding the structure and diagnosing + fixing data problems.
