i have no idea what china's surface fleet is like but landing isn't feasible unless you completely control the sky. mass paras hasn't been used in a long time because of the spectacular failures or crippling losses they incurred
the amount of things that could go catastrophically wrong in that kind of amphibious invasion are just way too high. i mean they could always try anyway and just gamble hundreds of thousands of lives

This company that I do inspections for who supplies most of the climbing systems for north America. (When you see those huge elevators or platforms climbing the side of buildings during construction.)
