The truth is you can always lynch the 1 remaining mafia in final 3 (ly/lo)
Unless you leave alive 2 guys who are voting as a block (because they are one person)
Then if you are town, you risk running up against a block vote on the final day and losing the game
Therefore, at final 5 (lylo-1) you must always lynch the dud second vote. That way you are cleared to sort out the game in lylo.
Except that you're thinking one step ahead and forgetting that there was no kill on N1 so from your POV why wouldn't the safer bet be the more obvious one?
Also if you go to final 3 with Dondi (after killing NMA) the game will end in a stalemate because he won't play
I didn't understand your post but just understand what I am explaining is the most fun way to play this game.
