Hello everyone,
As you can see I am now a moderator, with that being said I plan on implementing some new changes to the forum with my newfound power that will seek to solve many of the issues facing this forum currently and provide a space for recognized members to continue having constructive discussions with each other.
Starting firstly I will be implementing a tier system for user groups and accounts, if you are a normal NAdota user then this change will benefit you with additional powers that I will enforce, if you are determined to be a second class NAdota user and a recognized enemy of the forum then you are free to post here with some restrictions.
TIER 1 - NAdotians of Good Standing
Most current users of the site will fit into this group, you have no restrictions on your account, nothing will change for you, you can continue posting as usual. However being of good standing provides you certain powers against those of lower tiers.
Firstly, you are able to ban Tier 2 users for up to 12 hours, and Tier 3 users for up to 24 hours. Simply tag me and tell me which user to ban and for how long, up to 12/24 hours, and I will ban them.
Second, you can request a location check for any tier 2/3 user and I will tell you the location that they are posting from, since there will be additional restrictions for tier 2/3 users if the location check is abnormal it will likely result in a lengthy ban.
TIER 2 - The undesirables, AKA GoyClub
Current goyclub members will fall into this group, as recognized tier 2 users who have been disruptive to the forum over the years there will be additional restrictions on your accounts until you fall in line and your behavior improves.
First rule, No account sharing. This is self explanatory, if you account share I will ban your account, make new accounts now if you need to as any account sharing past tomorrow I will start banning for.
Second rule, No VPN usage, I will check your IP to see if you are using a VPN to appear in Ireland or Egypt or whatever the fuck to get past the account sharing rule, if you use a VPN, an AWS server, whatever the fuck that isn’t a normal residential IP address I will ban your account
Third rule, treat all tier 1 citizens with respect, they are above you, you are here for our entertainment and to service us in our enjoyment of the forum, if you get out of line by my own judgement even if a user does not tag me I will just ban you. This includes respecting our time as tier 1 citizens by not making troll mafia games, which I will ban you for too.
TIER 3 - The absolute scum, GoyClub Collaborators
This is reserved for people who were previous tier 1 citizens but were found account sharing with Tier 2 Goyclub members in order to either get past the no account sharing rules or some other convoluted troll that involves getting past some of the basic restrictions we are implementing on goy club members. If you are found to be a GoyClub collaborator you are the lowest of low, members can request a ban for up to 24 hours on your account, if you make a post that isnt funny I will ban you, if you act up I will ban you.
I will have a policy of not checking location/IP of any tier 1 users out of a principle of trust but if your posts begin to read like a goyclub post I will be forced to check and if discovered you are collaborating with undesirable users it will be announced and you will be placed into this tier immediately. Currently there will be no Tier 3 users and I hope that there will be none in the future
I hope these new policies are temporary and that certain undesirable users can make active changes to their behavior to fit more in line with our culture of friendship that we have nurtured over the years, but I will maintain these new rules for as long as needed. As of tomorrow these rules will go into effect, so old violations of the rules will be forgiven but new ones I will playpen/ban for increasingly longer lengths of time. If you have any questions you can ask me here and I will try to transparently post about rule enforcement within this thread.
