right but he also proffers that aliens are beyond our understanding and will not act in ways we understand, so why do we need to understand their actions here?
Stellaris players
i think keeping an eye on the hyper aggresive primitives that have learned to split the atom and have delusions of grandeur, right around the time their technological progress is exponentially increasing would be a prudent thing to do
think about the scale of time in the universe
seeing another race go from having no electricity to the atom bomb, a technology that could have taken you thousands of years to develop, would be fucking terrifying. even if you were far more advanced than said species.
and that truly is the time they started to show up. that's my headcanon answer at this time
Nothing will convince Jdance if he's serious, other than time.
His arguments are recursive and fallacious, much like all his thoughts. I don't see a point in talking to him much more because the truth is out there and he won't be able to deny it for much longer.
if you know a sentient intelligent race exists, and that everything you're seeing of them is hundreds of years delayed, seeing them go from no electicity to atom bomb and moon landing in a few hundred years would be fucking shocking. you'd want to see what was going on over there as soon as possible. you can't afford to monitor a very real threat like that from a distance that's hundreds of years delayed
imagine if we discovered a race of sentient jellyfish things, forgot about them for a while, checked back and they had nukes and space ships? we would panic
For all you know these technological developments are the very tip of the iceberg and meaningless
all of our alien emotes are top notch gotta say
you guys can think w.e you want it's fine by me, i just think based on the evidence presented, aliens are now the most rational explanation
i am shamelessly biased in this matter and i don't care
the idea of china inventing antimatter curvature propulsion or something like that, or america, seems highly unlikely
Aliens seem much more likely. Agreed.
What if the end game crisis has started and we're a buffer system between the federation and the scourge
less likely to me than aliens. and it's clearly made by some one or thing, it's not a natural occurrence, it's not space dust, a comet, an asteroid, or any weather event known to us.
Anyways i hate women. Participating in the aliens thread was fun
i literally did not feel this way until the jet camera videos. i wasn't even a big alien guy. sure i'm a sci fi guy but i've never been some hardcore alien truther, nor anyone in my family.
i just can't deny the evidence i'm seeing.
well i suppose the videos somehow being a hack or fake is far more likely than literal aliens, i'll admit that much
i'm going under the assumption the footage is authentic and the probe is real
its kind of interesting to think on actually, that a spaceship would be depicted as having no real directional form, i think the most human concept being the "upright" depiction of the alien, which isn't hugely out of pocket considering they're envisioned being seen within the atmo but otherwise seems pretty legit in a rudimentary way to have the little saucer shapes
considering how many planets have huge amounts of water and ice, and how many highly intelligent under water creatures we have here on earth, that aliens would most likely be an underwater being of some sort. which would support what you're saying if they had soft squishy tissue like an octopus, they could squeeze into small spaces, and a spherical or circular design could make the most sense for their body shapes.
