That's why I'm personally footing the initial fall lineup of mafia games.
Stealing this from a blog I read. Noticable points @SOPHIE are cross channel promotion for the event and clipping certain aspects of the sport to draw attention.
With audience attention now split between multiple platforms, it can be difficult to choose which one is best to engage with your audience on, so quite a few marketers end up engaging across them all. Sadly this means those teams will need to invest a lot of time and budget in producing content for channels - which generally ends up with wasted resources and low ROI. Others tend to focus on just one or two channels to the exclusion of all else - but this Hail Mary approach runs the risk of missing out on key opportunities.
For instance, creating short, funny videos of your club’s stars on TikTok may turn out to be a much more successful and cost-efficient way to drive audience engagement, instead of producing hours and hours of live streams on YouTube. But, you won’t know this if you don’t track and analyze the data. Testing out different channels is essential - but set yourself specific KPIs around those channels and be prepared to use the results of your data to inform how you adjust your strategy (and budgets) moving forward.
I think @faZ might actually be a good candidate for that. He has a history of ragestreaming also
May want to think about whether you should use some of the prize fund to pay the streamer as it's going to be a lot more work than just playing in the normal mafia game. Perhaps some sort of payment scheme based on number of viewers - have to create incentives to grow the channel.
discourse already has KPIs (i see DAU, registered count, new contributor count, etc) and these numbers wouldn't fluctuate for any other reason, as there is no other reason for new visitors/signups as of now
mafia specific KPIs are number of unique signers, games/mo, general sentiment analysis of the postgame (I would use your Mafia Universe algorithm here -- hopefully you are back at the office to retrieve them.)
also goes without saying but you can't afford to not have a laser focused approach when it comes to this ""marketing"" stuff. You can't afford the time to manage many channels. maybe you could do several at the most, but if you choose the right channels or key opportunities (or pivot to them if they make themselves apparent later) and execute well on them you will get a much bigger bounty.
@activechoicetostopputtingmyselfthroughth
do you think judges should be public or private? im sure some of the players that are too busy to play or apprehensive to return and participate would be happy to say who is good.
Judging takes more time and effort than simply playing, because it involves re-reading the whole game multiple times and dissecting it with the other judges.
@SOPHIE / Roragok will you be available to assist me with the bot if we need to take over hosting from Osiris at end of day ? Can you add Ian and his minecraft girlfriend?
Osiris is okay but needs his time if you wanna host you should just do it
What happened to him?
Life
Should we add him to this game so he can participate?
Looks like Mafia Maniac is winning the poll. Are you set up with everything you need to stream the game? Can you have a few funny comments prepared in advance just in case it suddenly takes off and there are lots of viewers?
Stream?
Yes I has money
i will immediately throw the game
Ian already does that
