I watched this video of a big proud boys rally, and it was just a few hundred trump supporting groups in the middle of a field nearby absolutely no one. they had a stage and occasionally someone from the groups would get on it to assure everyone they are there to protect them and make sure they are safe. they were near NOTHING. there was NO danger at all. yet several of them still feel the need to assure them they are there to fight off some nonexistent danger. these groups are just desperate to LARP their 2nd amendment fantasies, so much so that they they need to make even an empty field seem dangerous.
this is like 85 percent of gun owners
they act like they gotta be strapped at all times to "protect muh family", but then inevitably they get bored and wind up having to throw themselves in harms way hoping to justify an opportunity to discharge their peacemaker
i enjoy learning about and handling weapons systems but the fetishes some have developed are disturbing
I have a thing for knives and shit so I kinda get owning them. but this fantasy of fighting the boogeyman coming for your freedoms is just something else

Wow you got La Riva, Hawkins, and Kennedy on your ballot? That's actually a tough choice. Don't think we get any of those on our ballot here. I think I'll vote Hawkins. Not a huge Greens fan, but his platform is actually good and is the most visible protest vote
