I see flag pertaining to private discussion and I click accept. Thinking that me or other moderators put a ton of effort beyond that is itself deluded. It’s your lives, im busy living mine

We aren't peering into everybody's minds and understanding all the inner workings and private relationships of people
We aren't detectives that are going to look at a snippet of a conversation between two people and understand everything that's going on in those two people's private lives and exactly where things are crossing the line
If something's going on with you, you have to tell us and we will help. It's really that simple
Nyte your posts tend to be abstract "nobody reads my mind and does what I want" posts and somehow leave out both 1) a concrete thing someone did wrong, and 2) a concrete action you want moderators to take. Like we're supposed to immediately know exactly what's going on without being told or asked to do anything.
Maybe you should give this Wikipedia article a read, it may help.
i think this is a fair expectation atleast. sometimes posters have more implicit needs. and we (or atleast I) do want to help. But i think its atleast courteous that if you want me to help you (in any scenario that deems more 'consideration' than just following through on a flag), then you make it super easy for me to do it. Like you lay out the expectation, including example cases or whatever.
Otherwise you're expecting me to put an inordinate amount of time and effort into something that is already a departure from the things i need to put time and effort into. And as a result of that logic, I basically refuse to be privvy to all of your PMs and expect people to flag shit if they want me to do anything there or elsewhere (and elaborate in the flag for me/others if necessary)
If I haven't posted in a thread for like 200 posts and I post in the bottom of the thread, this does not mean that I have reviewed all 200 posts and have concluded that the ones that require moderation have been moderated.
Oftentimes I glaze over the whole thing and haven't seen whatever people are alluding to that isn't flagged (or the flagged shit was already processed and I didn't even see the situation. which is why I ask people to just be explicit in the first place)
Yeah and if something bad is going on and the moderators aren't doing anything that doesn't necessarily mean they are sinister and don't care about you it might just mean they aren't informed and you aren't communicating well
