I'm probably gonna make one post like that per day in this thread, each about a different specific issue. I care deeply about the future of humanity and I personally feel Trump getting re-elected has a decent chance of dooming our planet.
What about gun rights is trump doing that dems aren't? I'm a dem myself in California, and I own guns. I've never felt like my gun rights are being threatened so I honestly don't understand what the concern is. Background checks to make sure lunatics aren't getting weapons? Yea that seems reasonable. Cool down period so some angry dude doesn't impulsively get a pistol to shoot everyone at his job or his family? Yea seems fair. Gun safety test to make sure you don't accidentally shoot off your hand or misfire in the house? Yea. Totally makes sense to me as well. Doesn't seem like people are trying to take away guns, seems like they're trying to prevent morons from doing moronic things.
I own a pistol and shotgun, but I don't see any reason why normal people should own ARs or any type of automatic shooter for that matter.
It's by giving normal people access to these type of weapons that then give police the grounds to beef up their own equipment to respond back.
Having a gun to defend yourself or your home is one thing but you don't need an AR or long range rifle to do that, any 12gauge w buck or bird shot will do just fine.
I mostly hate trump he's very stupid, dishonest and unbecoming of a leader.
But one thing I'll say i do like about him is his very public opposition to illegal immigration.
I am very anti illegal immigration and anti providing rights to illegal immigrants and children of illegal immigrants is a gross misuse of tax payer funds.
Legal immigration is great, but idk why people try to fight for illegal immigration. Our country is already so poor and resources are spread so thin, yet people act like there is unlimited money to spend to provide freer education, Healthcare, and other welfare benefits to players who will never pay back into the system for the foreseeable future.
Yeah, I dont agree that my right to own an AR-15 should be infringed. Or a 60 round magazine.
I'm not necessarily against background checks and whatnot, but if you can argue that things like drug laws are enforced to degrade/control the minority population, why don't you think additional background checks and whatnot will also be used that way?
