and it's really fucking pointless trying to use political labels like "left" "centre" or "right" when discussing politics with Americans because they have a super fucking warped view of what those things even are
being normalized to having the Republican as one of your two choices and the Democrats as the other seems to have had that effect on most Americans I speak to

Trump supporters will vote for a guy who calls Mexican immigrants "rapists, and some are good people" or who calls protesters "thugs" but if somebody generalizes the poor old trump supporters they just clearly haven't met enough of them
