Do you not believe that that urge to take experiences as “completely neutral” lead to a skewed perspective?
A perspective less skewed than one with intention, yes.
You’ve not made an argument. You made an assertion then said that the Bible provides the argument. Your words, not mine
No I haven’t. You are moving the goal posts.
Here you go.
What makes philosophy textbooks useful? What gives textbooks their power? Why is peer review valued?
What makes them worth more than the ideas of one person? and what makes the arguments from those texts against that one person “more right”?
Dude quit it with dictating everyone else's rules for them, and not following your own.
The first quote I was asking you a question and the second one is me saying what happened (historical fact)
It’s about argumentation and simplification of what they take to be axioms. Learn how philosophy works, moron
A group of people, who hopefully try their best to be neutral in their pursuit, will argue on every option, for/against, of every idea, until they come to conclusion with a body of text that presents what is known to hold water.
No - it's not about that when you reach the point where you believe what you two believe about the bible and God.
You are taking thinks out of context here and warping the meaning of my question.
I once did believe in God, but was lost on the Bible when my sunday school instructors told me I was bad for reading Job and Ezekiel.
I revisited the Bible later in life; as a more mature individual I did see some of it’s appeals to be virtuous but I didn’t think everything was presented in a hygienic, academic way.
It’s more than simple. If you think that Philosophy can argue better than me saying that “God controls random numbers” can then you have a very Pitiful view of reality.
That was the post you were responding to when you asked if the "Bible isn't enough." Bullshit that I'm taking them out of context.
You have a very pitiful view of philosophy
Nobody can argue on a point that’s impossible to make. There’s no way to generate truly random numbers, and there’s no way to prove a God does or doesn’t exist.
lol this podcast suxxx
That’s talking like a lawyer and grasping at straws.
When you press a button stop a nanosecond clock it is random.
