Existentialist?
copying ian's career path homework smh
He's not copying any specific person, he's expressing his teenage rebellion and contrarianism by Rising Up and becoming a Real Man! A Blue Collar worker!
A terrible paradox founded on pure ignorance, he is chasing something he can never attain: The struggles of honest and hard working lower class Americans.
A poser in every sense of the word - truly a Lost soul...
I dont believe you
Vanilla_Town is a known expert on lower class blue collar americans
He can talk about these things on the forum, he knows about these things
Strawman.
Wouldn't that be more of a false equivalency instead of a strawman?
I don't need to be an expert to recognize how someone who grew up his whole life barely employed and gaming all day isn't cut from the same cloth as a career construction worker.
Trades and factories are filled with people who 'wasted' their 20's and decided to start a career at 30
This is not saying anything - whether or not you're a Poser completely depends on your personal background and life, not on how late you started doing something.
It's also very observable in how much the supposed poser flaunts their "suffering" and "hardships" - when an honest and normal person would be show more humility and self awareness.
You can't change who you are, not in your 20s, 30s, or 40s.
Is this the kind of thing you're only ok with if it's shrouded in a dozen layers of lies and irony?
And to be honest, what Jdance is doing is quite classist and offensive. I think we all can recognize that.
No, I am not Ok with lack of self awareness under any circumstances. It's embarrassing for everyone involved.
We're posting in this thread
What's wrong with that? This is a general discussion thread; Not about anything in particular. If you feel some sort of shame about posting here that is entirely on you.
There's nothing wrong posting in this thread. The point was you have blind spots or you just ignore the same self aggrandizing flags from your closer friends.
