HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
the chemical imbalance hypothesis of depression still isnt like consensus
a lot of it was pushed overconfidently to sell certain drugs
not to say neurotransmitter-related disease is all fake, parkinsons is obviously real and obviously involves dopamine issues, etc
based
which came first, neurochemical imbalance or behavioral tendencies?
marketing chafe aside I'm pretty sure lower serotonin production or damaged receptors are enough to say that there is an identifiable issue when a group exposed to one or both of those basically exhibits the same symptoms and for the most part sees decent benefits in the options provided to them
for the most part i feel like people have CONVINCED themselves that they have some huge mental issue and instead of utilizing willpower to fight it they just blame their life on it
what if someone has a 'legitimate' reason to be depressed
bro if you’re depressed your life is probably just fucked up you just gotta slowly work towards it not being fucked up
for what like 3 months? that happens. not for multiple years though
I went from suicidal to not suicidal over the course of a couple years and my biggest help was not buying into the depression medicine psychiatry bullshit of taking magic pills to cure your MENTAL illness, shit is all in your head
these people with debuffs on twitter will tweet anything instead of fighting a battle with themselves. its easier to blame something thats not under your control (even though your brain is)
i did the same so i can back that up
based
it isn't the same for everyone though
