i get what you mean by this but most grunts don't want to be on the ground in some foreign country unless they know the average joes of their country support it as well. it's a tricky human condition but just because they signed up doesn't mean they want to be shipped off to fight while everyone else forgets about them. being funded by taxpayers only reaches so far into the human psyche to be willing to fight and die
